About this event

JIn 2010, the nation was shocked by the tragic death of a young college freshman, Tyler Clementi, who took his own life after being cyber-bullied by a roommate. Wanting to ensure that no other parent would ever have to endure her pain, his mother Jane launched the Tyler Clementi Foundation to provide parents, students, and teachers with resources to combat harassment, both in the community and on-line. MAPA invites you to join Jane Clementi for a discussion with MA sophomore Jake B. about ways to stop bullying before it happens, how to create safe and inclusive spaces for students regardless of differences, and tools for supporting victims and stopping bullying.

This event is being co-presented with The Branson School.
